Global settings

Always-On — re-apply the active profile automatically when Chrome starts. Turn this off if you want Disconnect to survive restarts. Auto-failover — if the active proxy fails, switch to the next enabled profile automatically.

Export / import

Export saves all profiles to a JSON file; import reads one back. Handy for moving between computers or keeping a backup.

Warning: the exported JSON contains any saved proxy passwords in plain text. Keep the file somewhere private, like you would a password list.

About

ProxyShield is a proxy connector, not a VPN service. It provides no servers and no network of its own: it points Chrome at a proxy server that you supply — from your company, your own VPS, or a provider you trust — and keeps that connection on. Settings, including any proxy passwords, are stored only in this browser's local storage and are never sent anywhere by the extension. Full details are in the README that came with this extension.
