What this is

Who it's for: Freelancers who want to keep one client updated on a project without setting up any software or account.

Give one client a simple project-status page they can open in any browser: status, milestones, a files list, payment milestones, a message log and next steps.

Free in full — download it and use it on your own freelance work.

NO login, NO server, NO account, NO database. This is a fully static file with no external calls and no tracking: it loads nothing from the internet and sends no data anywhere. The client CANNOT log in, reply, upload files, or pay through this page. The message log is a record YOU update by hand; the files section is a LIST only — attach real files separately. It does NOT collect payments. Edits made in the browser are NOT saved automatically — you must save the page yourself, or your changes will be lost when the tab closes. This template is not a substitute for a contract, and it is not legal or tax advice.

Questions

Can my client log in or reply through this page?

No. There is no login, no server and no database. The message log is a record you update by hand, and the files section is a list only.

Can clients pay through the portal?

No. It does not collect payments. Record payments here only after confirming them in your own bank or wallet app.

Do my edits save automatically?

No. Edits made in the browser are NOT saved automatically. Save the page yourself, or your changes will be lost when the tab closes.

What are the six sections?

Project status, milestones, a files list, payment milestones, a message log, and next steps. Every section is editable in the browser.

Is this the same as the Client Onboarding Pack?

No. That pack is intake material for the start of a client relationship. This portal is the ongoing, client-facing status page used during the project itself.
